Literacy:

In your Shel Silverstein Poetry Booklet is a page called "Invention Inspiration," shown below. This activity is based on a poem by Shel Silverstein called Sunglasses, shown below.

Think of an ordinary object that you could make extraordinary and draw a picture of it. Then write a two line poem that describes your object.

Numeracy:  Follow the link below to this Mathology activity for Grade 2 and 3 students. Listen to the story, and then try the activity. Both the story and activity will ask you questions and you will do the work in your head and and then check the answer. There is no space for you to mark down your answer.
