April 15th.

Literacy:

1) If you would like to continue having your child work on the Covid-19 Workbook that you began yesterday, please go ahead with that today, otherwise, we can work on it tomorrow. I know that when I worked through this booklet with my daughter, as fun as the activities were for both of us, she did get tired of thinking about this virus and being stuck in our house, so we did little bits at a time so not to overwhelm us. So for today...let's write a letter!

2) Write a letter to a friend or family member today, and if you can, have your Mom or Dad mail it for you!

If you have access to a printer, ABC Ya has a great "game" that helps you to write letters that will include the date, salutation, body, and a closing, and will allow you to print it when completed.

                                       https://www.abcya.com/games/friendly_letter_maker

When you are writing a letter, make sure to:
* begin sentences with upper case letters and finish sentences with either a question mark (?), exclamation mark (!) or a period (.).
* tell the person you are writing to what you have been doing, how you are feeling or tell them about something that you have made or learned while you've been at home.

If you would like to mail me a letter, you can send it to the school and I can pick it up there, and I PROMISE to write you back! When you are addressing the envelope, make sure it looks like this:

Ms.Kelly Watson
C/O Kent Elementary School
7285 McCullough Rd.
Agassiz, B.C.
V0M 1A2

The C/O means "care of" and it tells the mail carrier that I don't actually live at the school (which sometimes it feels like I do!), but that the school will accept mail for me and ensure that I get it.

Numeracy:

Spend about 20 minutes exploring Mathletics today! Remember I sent your child's email and password via Remind or Email yesterday.  https://login.mathletics.com/

Daily Physical Activity:

We enjoy Cosmic Kids Yoga in our class. This is a 15 minute yoga activity for students to complete at home! Enjoy!
