May 8th

Math: See attached photo and instructions. You DO NOT need to print this photo. Have your child read instructions (help them to do this) and they can write the fractions in a notebook, as well as draw their own house and fractions in their notebook.

STEM: Have your child gather objects from around the house or outside and make their own house. Consider gluing materials to recycled cardboard (cereal/cracker boxes, etc) and please take a photo to send to me once they are done! For extra practice, have them count the number of objects they have used in their project (this will be the bottom number of their fraction), and count how many sticks they used (top part of their fraction), how many rocks they used (top part of their fraction.)

Music: Head on over to Mr.Laws Music Blog by clicking the link and explore music in nature today!

Your challenge for this weekend is to spend LOTS of time outside! Try to pay attention to the sounds of Agassiz and Harrison, the lovely (and not-so-lovely) smells and what it feels like to be outside this weekend. I want to hear all about your adventures on Monday. Have a great weekend!
