May 21st

I know it is meant to be rainy today, but if you are able to, take some time outside and get your body moving using this Outdoor Movement Scavenger Hunt.

Literacy: Log on to RAZ Kids today and spend 15-20 minutes reading.

Numeracy: When you use a Venn Diagram you are comparing two different things. Watch this video for a short lesson on Venn Diagrams, and then give the activity below a try.

* Click on the link to try a Venn Diagram activity: Venn There, Done That
* Alternatively, gather draw two overlapping circles on your notebook (like the circles in the video above.)
Gather blue items, green items, blue/green items and a few other objects from around your    house and yard.
Label your Venn Diagram with the headings: BLUE, BOTH, GREEN.
Place the objects that you have found in the right place on your Venn Diagram.
If some of your items do not fit in the diagram, place them outside of the circle to the edge of   your paper.

** If you have not yet gotten back to me about whether your child will be returning to school on a part-time basis on June 1st or if you will be keeping them home for the month of June, please do so as soon as you an.

** We will be scheduling a class zoom meeting for Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 am. I will send you the link on the Remind app tomorrow afternoon.
